My father took this photo of the Queen during her short visit to Bermuda in 1953, apparently on November 24 or 25 as those were the dates that the Queen visited Bermuda in 1953. I believe this photo was taken very near the boundary of Kindly AFB in an area where the road passed through a cut in a small hill, possibly the very hill that had to be removed later to make landings at the field more safe. My Dad was standing on the slight elevation looking down on the road where he knew that she would be coming by.
