Description
English: Photo of a "Pyron" detector, from a 1914 amateur radio book. Contact with the crystal of iron pyrite (fool's gold) is facilitated by means of a fine wire mounted on one end of a variable positioning mechanism. It was manufactured by the Wireless Specialty Apparatus Co. Alterations to image: cropped out second image of detector.
