English: Lord Ganesha's favourite Modak prepared by Ms. Ujwala Raju Kasambe. Photo by Dr. Raju Kasambe. Theisis an Indian sweet dumpling. The sweet filling inside consists of coconut and jaggery with outer layer of Rice flour. We filled it with puran (which is used in making Marathi sweet Roti called Puran Ploi).
