English: Palaeolagus haydeni Leidy, 1856 - fossil rabbit skull from the Oligocene of Nebraska, USA. (public display, Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago, Illinois, USA)

From museum signage: "This rabbit had long hind legs, good for escaping predators across open grasslands. Rabbits' long ears allow them to hear faraway sounds and detect predators from a distance, another good adaptation for open grassland living."
