Summary

Description

This unusual little figure is adorned with a beaded cap and stands on a gourd studded with hard shelled red & black seeds and cowrie shells. There are remnants of a feather band around the centre of the gourd. This piece may have been used as an ancestor figure. It measures 42cm and the gourd is 15cm wide.
