Nederlands: Oorlogsmonument Stompetoren.

Herdachte groepen: Burgerslachtoffers, Verzet Nederland Ontwerper: S.M. Douma Onthulling: 1946 Vorm en materiaal Het monument aan de Noordervaart te Stompetoren (gemeente Schermer) is een gemetselde pilaar, waarop een natuurstenen plaquette is bevestigd. Aan weerszijden en aan de achterzijde van de pilaar staat een muur met urnen. Het gedenkteken is 3 meter 70 hoog, 4 meter 60 breed en 4 meter 70 diep.

Teksten De tekst op de pilaar luidt:

'AAN HEN DIE VIELEN VOOR VRIJHEID EN RECHT'.

In de pilaar zijn de namen van dertien oorlogsslachtoffers gegraveerd:

DIRK DE BOER DZ PIET DE BOER JOHANNES DE JONG PIET KONING FLOOR NIELE JOHANNES DE REUS SIEM SPIERENBURG GERARD VELDMAN JACOB WAGENAAR PIET WAGENAAR JAN WALTER REIN WITTEVEEN FRANS VAN DER ZEIJDEN.

De tekst op de plaquette luidt:

'TER NAGEDACHTENIS AAN DE BURGERS UIT DE GEMEENTE SCHERMER DIE TIJDENS DE TWEEDE WERELDOORLOG DOOR OORLOGSHANDELINGEN OM HET LEVEN ZIJN GEKOMEN. 4 MEI 1995'.

Het monument is geplaatst bij de N.H. kerk aan de Noordervaart in Stompetoren (gemeente Schermer).
