Summary

Description
English: The Japan Meteorological Agency’s GMS-5 satellite captured this infrared imagery at 13:00 Coordinated Universal Time on June 10, 1997, featuring Typhoon Nestor at peak intensity. At the time, Nestor had 1-minute sustained winds of 160 mph (260 km/h), and the Japanese Meteorological Agency estimated Nestor's minimum central pressure at 930 millibars. Nestor was 1,999 kilometers from land.
