Italiano: Flabello (ventaglio) in bronzo (con patina di ossidazione verde) di forma trapezioidale proveniente dal corredo di una sepoltura del tipo a camera scavata nel banco naturale di tufo in località Olivetello nel comune di Trevignano Romano, oggi conservato ed esposto presso il museo civico etrusco romano Prof. G. Bianchini di Trevignano Romano. La sepoltura è stata chiamata "Tomba dei Flabelli" proprio per il rinvenimento straordinario al suo interno di due esemplari di questo tipo di ventaglio. Questo oggetto in bronzo era legato all'espressione del potere della persona che lo apparteneva e deriva da modelli in uso presso le civiltà orientali. La tomba fu rinvenuta tra il 1966 e il 1968 ed è datata al VII secolo a.C.
English: Flabellum (fan) in bronze (with green oxidation patina) from the grave goods of a chamber type burial excavated in the natural tuff bank in the Olivetello area in the municipality of Trevignano Romano and preserved in museo civico etrusco romano Prof. G. Bianchini di Trevignano Romano. The burial was called "Tomba dei Flabelli" precisely because of the extraordinary discovery within it of two examples of this type of fan. This bronze object was linked to the expression of the power of the person who owned it and derives from models used in Eastern civilizations. The tomb was found between 1966 and 1968, is dated to the 7th century BC. |
