Summary

Description
English: Moses Harris, Prismatic Colour Wheel, 'The Natural System of Colours' (1766). This illustration is from a facsimile edition reproduced from the original edition and printed and distributed by the Whitney Library of Design, New York. As with the original illustration, the colour wheel was created as an engraving with black outlines and hand-coloured. The black outlines partially obscure the effectiveness of colour detail, which is only evident in closer inspection. This illustration is sourced from a facsimile edition held in the private library of Zena O'Connor, PhD.
