Deutsch: Zunehmender Mond mit etwa 23 Prozent sichtbarer Oberfläche etwa 4 Tage 16 Stunden nach Neumond. Aufgenommen am 13. Oktober 2018 in Berlin eine Viertelstunde vor Untergang am Nachthimmel nach astronomischer Dämmerung bei stabiler Hochdruckwetterlage. Das Licht des nur wenige Grad über dem Horizont stehenden Mondes hat bis zum Beobachter über zweihundert Kilometer durch die Erdatmosphäre zurückgelegt und wurde daher durch Szintillation unregelmäßig abgelenkt, durch Extinktion geschwächt und durch Rayleigh-Streuung rötlich gefärbt. Farbtemperatur der Aufnahme = 4100 Kelvin (weißes Mondlicht).
English: Waxing crescent moon with 23 percent visible surface on 13th October 2018 in Berlin a quarter-hour before moon set, after astronomical dusk at stable high pressure weather conditions. The light of the moon, which was only a few degrees above horizon line, has passed more than two hundred kilometres through the earth's atmosphere, and therefore, it was irregularly deflected by scintillation, attenuated by extinction and tinted reddish by Rayleigh scattering. Colour temperature = 4100 Kelvin (white moon light). |
