Description
English: The 51st annual “Messiah” Sing-Along at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, December 23, 2023. A free event performed in the Kennedy Center’s Concert Hall as part of its Millennium Stage program, the singalong of George Frederick Hansel’s oratorio “Messiah” is a Washington tradition since 1971 (missing only one year due to Covid-19). The 2023 concert was conducted by Nancia D’Alimonte (center) with soloists (from left to right) Angeli Ferrette, soprano; V. Savoy McIlwain, bass-baritone; Antonio Chase, tenor; and Jeanie Adkins, mezzo-soprano. The concert also included the Washington National Opera Orchestra and several Washington-area chorales.
