Summary

Description
English: Martyrdom of Blessed Leonardo Kimura with four other Christians in Nagasaki on November 18, 1619. The 4 other Christian martyrs are Andreas Murayama Tokuan (from Japan), Cosmas Takeya Sozaburo (from Korea), Ioannes Yoshida Shoun (from Japan) and Domingos Jorge (from Portugal). Made in Macau by an anonymous Japanese between 1626 and 1632. The 205 martyrs were beatified by Pope Pius IX in the brief of May 7, 1867 (feast, June 1 and Sept. 10). Note: the full artwork is a bit bigger.
