Summary

Description

Empire style mantel clock, c. 1825, St. Nicolas d'Aliermont and Paris, France; ormolu bronze and glass; exported to Baltimore, Maryland, in the early 19th century.

The figure sits upon the clock housing leaning upon a cornucopia with a swan base with her other arm resting upon an anchor set upon a shell. The flukes of the anchor are decorated with a cupid. To the right of the clock a decorated paddle with dolphins and shells rests against the clock.
