Deutsch: Südsüdostansicht des Gipfelareals des 539 hohen Pöstlingbergs in der oberösterreichischen Stadtgemeinde Linz.
Auf dem Gipfel befindet sich die Wallfahrtsbasilika Pöstlingberg (am 9. Dez. 1748 geweiht). Die Kirche ist von einem ehemaligen Fort umgeben (errichtet in den 1830er Jahren), das Teil der Turmbefestigung Linz bzw. der Maximilianische Turmlinie war. In einem der ehemaligen Türme des Forts befindet sich heute die Grottenbahn als Touristenattraktion - insbesondere für Kinder. In einem anderen der Türme ist die Endhaltestelle der Pöstlingbergbahn untergebracht (am 29. Mai 1898 in Betrieb genommen). Einer der drei großen gastronomischen Einrichtungen auf dem Pöstlingberg befindet sich im Pöstlingberg-Schlössl. Es wurde am 30. August 1898 als Bergbahnhotel eröffnet und wird seit 1997 als Pöstlingberg-Schlössl vermarktet. English: South-southeast view of the summit area of the Pöstlingberg in Upper Austria. |
