English: Two LIRR trains (consisting of DE/DM30AC locomotives and C3 railcars) on the Montauk Branch are about to pass each other at the siding east of Mastic–Shirley station, as the branch is predominantly single-tracked east of Sayville. An eastbound train that just departed the station will pass the westbound train waiting at the siding; that westbound train will then enter the station and make its stop. |
