English: Memorial to civil victims of World War II, Kuusamo, Finland.
The Monument is dedicated to the victims of the Soviets partisans in Kuusamo. Juho Karjalainen and his three daughters, who were killed on 3rd October 1942 by Soviet partisans. His wife was hit with nine bullets but managed to survive. Ville Karjalainen disapeared the next morning and was never found. |
