Deutsch: Maate (Unteroffiziere OR-5) der Kriegsmarine trugen bis 1945 Rangabzeichen oder Dienstgradabzeichen als goldfarbene Unteroffizierslitzen mit ein bis zwei Querstreifen auf kornblumenblaue Kragenspiegel, sowie Laufbahnabzeichen am oberen linken Ärmel, beispielsweise ein goldener Anker darunter ein goldfarbener Winkel (Oberbootsmannsmaat) oder zwei goldene gekreuzte Anker darunter ein goldfarbener Winkel (Obersteuermannsmaat):
  • Rangabzeichen: Obermaat OR-5a
    • Auf dem Kragenspiegel Goldlitzen und zwei goldener Querstreifen.
English: Maate (Unteroffiziere OR-5) of the Kriegsmarine wore until 1945 rank insignia as gold coloured ca. 9mm rayon Maat braids with one or two cross braids on the collar badges. As well as career insignia on the left cuff (upper arm), e.g. one gold coloured anchor, below one gold coloured angle (for Oberbootsmannsmaat), or two crossed golden coloured anchors, below one gold coloured angle (for Obersteuermannsmaat):
  • rank insignia: Obermaat OR-5a
    • on the collar badge golden coloured Maat braids with two cross braids.
