English: Train derailing in Jyväskylä on March 6th 1998. The locomotive turned on its side on turnout, and skidding over two lanes of a highway turned on its other side and with its roof ahead bumped against a bridge pillar. The locomotive pulled along its first two coaches which turned to their arrival direction and then detached from the locomotive and turned over. The track was damaged and therefore almost all of the following coaches derailed.
Suomi: Jyväskylän junaturmassa 6. maaliskuuta 1998 Jyväskylässä veturi kaatui vaihteessa ja suistui kiskoilta vetäen kaksi vaunua perässään. Veturi irtosi vaunuista, ylitti Rantaväylän ja päätyi katto edellä siltapilariin. Kaksi ensimmäistä vaunua kääntyi tulosuuntaansa ja kaatui. Muut yhdeksän pysyivät pystyssä. |
