English: Collage of 2 photographs depicting part of the Johnny Bright incident, showing Johnny Bright being assaulted twice by defenseman Wilbanks Smith. These photos were taken by Ultang with the Register's custom-built, large-format "Howitzer" camera. They were published alongside a sequence of photos taken by John Robinson using a high-speed "machine gun" camera. Ultang and Robinson shared the 1952 Pulitzer Prize for Photography for their photographs of the incident.
