The Buddhist Goddess Tara
Description
English: Adopting a sophisticated form of Mahayana ("great vehicle") Buddhism from monastic centers in northern and northeastern India, Javanese Buddhists created images of the Buddha as well as of members of the Buddhist pantheon.
