Description
English: James Phillips Berkeley (July 1, 1907 - February 13, 1985) was an officer of the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Lieutenant General. He is most noted as Signal Officer of 5th Marine Division during Battle of Iwo Jima and later as Commanding General of Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic. He is the son of Medal of Honor recipient, Major general Randolph C. Berkeley.
