Summary[edit]

Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description Portrait of Jack E. Boucher, long time photographer for the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) with his large format camera.
Author or
copyright owner
unknown - likely HABS (which would make it public domain). The Washington Post, which used the same photo in its obit of Boucher credits the photo to James Rosenthal who was also a HABS photographer
Source (WP:NFCC#4) Original publication: unknown

Date of publication unknown
Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Jack Boucher
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) for visual identification of the person in question, at the top of his/her biographical article
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
While Boucher was a photographer I know only 2 photos of him to exist, the other being extremely small, old, and putting him in a deep shadow. He is now dead just short of his 81st birthday - it would be very unlikely to find contemporaries with pix.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) It'll just be used near the top of his article
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
Jack Boucher gave all his photos to the public domain, he is now dead so there is no market for his photos (just download them from the Library of Congress) or for photos of him.
Other information The subject of the photograph has been deceased since: 2012-09-02
