    • A copyright notice seems present but was altered in the print due to rightsholder transfers, which reads:
Copyright 1952 by Paramount Pictures Corporation. All rights reserved.
    • Paramount filed a registration entry of the animated short film after the release date.
    • Harvey Films (who bought the library containing post-October 1950 and pre-March 1962 titles produced from Famous/Paramount) didn’t file a renewal entry of the animated short film for the original copyright within a required 28-year period throughout 1979 and 1980.
    • After the failure of copyright renewal, the animated short film entered the public domain on the first day of January 1981 and is freely available and distributable in both physical and digital formats.
