Fair-use rationale for Claud Eustace Teal[edit]

The episode pictured is "Iris", an episode of The Saint, copyright 1963 ITC Entertainment and Carlton. This image, which is cropped from a complete screencapture, has been created in order to illustrate the fictional character Claud Eustace Teal for the article of this name. This image has been created as no book covers or other fair use illustrations showing Teal are known to exist, and that Ivor Dean's portrayal of Teal is the best known of this character. He also physically resembles the character as described by Leslie Charteris. Under the rules of fair use, screencaptures may be used for discussing "for identification" of a film/TV episode "or its contents". The character of Inspector Teal, and the actor portraying him qualify as contents of this production. As such this image may also be used to illustrate the article on Ivor Dean if no alternative is located.
