Other. The image is used for identification in the context of critical commentary of the work for which it serves as screenshot. It makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article, which could not practically be conveyed by words alone. It is used to illustrate some aspects of game as discussed in the article. The image shows the protagonist attempting to lure an armed enemy in for a quick kill. By raising his hands in surrender, the protagonist can fool enemies into thinking he has surrendered, and when they get close, he can cut their throat with his machete. The image also shows multiple other enemies waiting in the background, and the status/health meter at the top of the screen. The image highlights these aspects in a way the article text itself could not describe as intricately, and thus enhance the reader's understanding of the prose. Use for this purpose does not compete with the purposes of the original artwork, namely the creator providing graphic design services to relevant concerns and video game marketing to the public. |
