Description
English: Dimer of the homing endonuclease I-CreI, ribbon style. Alpha helix in green, beta strands in blue. The two pink atoms in the center are metallic heteroatoms. The structure shows the saddle that beta strands create, to accommodate the DNA.
Español: Dímero de la endonucleasa "casera" (del inglés "homing endonuclease) I-CreI. Las álfa-helices se muestran en verde y las láminas-beta en azul. Las dos esferas pequeñas de color rosa en el centro de la estructura son dos cationes metálicos necesarios para la catálisis. La estructura muestra la hendidura que forman las láminas-beta en la que se acomodará el DNA.
