| Description |
Urumqi, July 2009, riots. The riots erupted on Sunday 5th of July 2009 as a peaceful demonstration turned bad. Uighur started to attack Chinese police and civilians, and as their anger had been worked on by China their answer was brutal. Over 200 people died that night, piles of bodies could be seen in the streets next morning. <a href="http://silkroadtraveller.com/blog/?p=502" rel="nofollow">silkroadtraveller.com/blog/?p=502</a> And on Tuesday 7th, hordes of Han Chinese started to wander the streets of Urumqi, forming gang of several dozens, all armed with sticks or swords, and hunting for Uighur seeking revenge.
