Description
English: HABET balloon being launched. HABET (High Altitude Balloon Experiment in Technology) is a program at Iowa State University, Iowa, USA, which builds, launches, and recovers balloon payloads to near-space altitudes throughout the year. The balloons used are "weather balloons" of the type used in weather balloons. This image shows a "stack", consisting of balloon, parachute, and instrument package payload suspended on a line being launched. See Iowa State University HABET page.
