Summary

Description
English: Stopping neccecary - Old Greek stop sign according to road traffic codex 1962 (KOK 1962). The exact same sign was used almost everywere in Europe before the Vienna Convention. Although it was suggested in the Convention, most countries who signed, today use tho octagonal sign used almost worldwide. In Greece, it was used until 1974, when it was replaced by the octagonal sign R-2, but it was still temporary used until 1978 as Pd-2.
Ελληνικά: ΣΤΑΣΙΣ ΥΠΟΧΡΕΩΤΙΚΗ. Παλιά πινακίδα STOP του road traffic codex 1962 (KOK 1962). Όμοιες πινακίδες κυκλοφορούσαν σχεδόν σε όλη την Ευρώπη, πριν την Σύμβαση της Βιέννης. Παρόλο που αναφέρεται στην Σύμβαση, οι περισσότερες χώρες που υπέγραψαν χρησιμοποιούν σήμερα την οκτάγωνη πινακίδα που κυκλοφορεί σχεδόν σε όλο τον κόσμο. Στην Ελλάδα, ίσχυε μέχρι το 1974, οπότε αντικαταστάθηκε με την Ρ-2, σύμφωνα με τον ΦΕΚ 676/1974, αλλά εξακολουθούσε να ισχύει προσωρινά μέχρι το 1978 ως Πδ-2
