Description
English: Georgetown area of Connecticut in 1856. At this time, the name Georgetown was not in use. However, the earliest buildings of the Gilbert and Bennett wire mill are shown. Gilbert and Bennett's existence was largely responsible for the growth, economy, and local identity of Georgetown.
