Summary

Description Sketch of statue by Richard Saltonstall Greenough of George W. Lyman, New England industrialist, Boston Associate, who served as president of the Massachusetts Hospital Life Insurance Company and as a director of the Boston & Lowell Railroad. He was regarded as one of the founders of the New England's textile industry, investing in Waltham, Lowell, Lawrence, and Holyoke, and was a patron of the Boston Athenaeum.
