Notes

This is one of the water-colour drawings made by Georg Forster during James Cook's second voyage to the Pacific in 1772-1775.

The watercolour is listed by Sharpe 1906, p. 197 and by Lysaght 1959 p. 308 as Plate 158. This is the number written on the right-hand side of the watercolour. The NHM lists this watercolour as Plate 157.

This picture was used by John Latham when describing the "Yellow-fronted flycatcher".(Latham, 1783, pp. 342-343).

The watercolour was painted in 1774 and is the holotype for the species.(Lysaght 1959 p. 308, No. 158)
