Прямоугольное белое полотнище с соотношением ширины к длине 2:3, несущее изображения фигур из герба района (в версии без вольной части): стоящего на зелёной земле чёрного лося с жёлтыми рогами и копытами, за которым — зелёная с жёлтым стволом ель; вдоль древка расположена жёлтая полоса, занимающая 1/4 длины полотнища, в верхней части которой — старинная княжеская шапка зелёного цвета, имеющая чёрную опушку и жёлтое украшение („городок“) с белой жемчужиной
