Summary

Description TriMet's first Clackamas Town Center Transit Center opened in 1981 and was located on the north side of the shopping mall. In this 1985 photo, bus No. 143 (a 1974 Flxible "New Look" bus) is loading on line 72-82nd Avenue, while another bus is stopped on the other side of the TC's central loading island. This view is looking east, and the mall was located just out-of-frame to the right.
This transit center facility closed in June 2006, due to mall expansion. A temporary replacement TC that was located along a new entrance road immediately to the east of the old off-street TC closed in late 2007, in connection with plans to build a new Clackamas Town Center TC in a different location, to the east of the mall, as part of the construction of the MAX Green Line light rail line. The new TC opened in 2009, and in the interim, buses laying over at Clackamas Town Center temporarily used a parking lot south of the planned new TC, which area was not open to passengers.
