Summary

Description
English: Mosaic from the floor of the Apollon Temple in the Leto sacred zone of the Letoon archaeological site, one of the important religious centers of the ancient world. The sun in the centre symbolizes Likya, the land of light. The lyre on the right (not in the picture) symbolizes the god Apollo, the arrow quiver on the left Artemis. It dates from the Hellenistic period, Hellenistic period (323-31 BC), when the temple was built. Original, found in 2004, a copy is now on the original location.
