DescriptionEydon Road Halt site geograph-3465457-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Site of Eydon Road Halt, near Culworth 1992.
View northward: a sylvan scene where once ran the important ex-Great Central line between Woodford Halse (Culworth Junction) on the 'London Extension' and Banbury on the ex-GWR system. Halts on this line were served by a few local trains, but the line mainly served as an important link for North-South freight and some through express passenger traffic - until at a stroke all was abandoned on 5/9/66, and since then everything has proceeded along the A34 road system
