DescriptionEnglert canopy 12-3-2004 Cheryll Clamon(left) & Margaret Hibbs.JPG
English: The canopy at Englert Theatre in downtown Iowa City is a predominant feature of an image of friends as they pause on their way to the venue's reopening as Englert Civic Theatre, a 10 a.m. matinee on Friday, December 3, 2004. It was the first live performance on the Englert stage after 60 years of silence, hidden behind huge motion picture screens. The person at right is the photographer's spouse, Margaret Kincheloe Hibbs.
