Summary

Description
English: Clare W. Graves's diagram of the spiraling double helix view of his emergent cyclical levels of existence theory, adapted from the black-and-white Exhibit VII.1 on page 175 of The Never Ending Quest (Graves; Cowan & Todorovic (eds.), 2005). A-F are the successive existential problems / life conditions, while N-S are the responding emergent bio-psycho-social systems. Prime (') marks indicate the second cycle, with each cycle shown as a loop of a widening spiral double helix. Colors added to show express-self (pink) vs sacrifice-self (blue) bio-psycho-social systems.
