Description
English: Egginton Junction station, 1949
View eastward, towards Derby (Friargate) and Nottingham ex-Great Northern Railway, also ex-North Stafford Railway to Derby (Midland). The train is for Uttoxeter and Stafford from Derby (Friargate), headed by ex-GN Ivatt J6 class 0-6-0 No. 64238 (built 10/14 as 539, withdrawn 10/59). The station was closed 5/3/62, but the line used by Derby Research Centre until 9/7/90.
