Summary

Description
English: Photo of Dumbarton Railroad Bridge taken Sunday, September 2, 2007 from kayak. This bridge is the southernmost bridge across the San Francisco Bay. No longer used for rail traffic, the bridge has been left in the "open" position. A diesel engine would rotate the bridge on a large gear when a boater signaled the bridge operator.
