Nederlands: China is overal ter wereld op zoek naar kennis en heeft de middelen om deze weg te kopen. In deze 'war on talent' moet Nederland zich beraden welke kennis voor de Nederlandse economie cruciaal is en hoe we deze kunnen behouden en versterken. China daagt uit en de AWT vindt dat Nederland de handschoen voortvarend moet oppakken, stelt Dorette Corbey, directeur AWT.
De overheid moet het beleid voor samenwerking met China intensiveren en daarbij maatwerk bieden aan gearriveerde bedrijven, kansrijke bedrijven en kenniswerkers als studenten en hoogleraren die kennis uitwisselen met China. De AWT pleit in het advies "De Chinese handschoen" voor blijvende investeringen in de eigen kennisbasis. Dat is de beste manier om te garanderen dat Nederland een aantrekkelijk onderzoeksland blijft en dat R&D activiteiten niet verplaatst worden naar China. De AWT geeft het Advies "De Chinese handschoen" op verzoek het ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap en het ministerie van Economische Zaken, Landbouw en Innovatie. |
