Object history
Deutsch: In dem nach dem Siegelbild eines im Jahre 1284 erwähnten Siegels gestalteten Wappenschild verweist der Greif als Symbol der pommerschen Herzöge auf den Stadtgründer und Stadtherrn. Die Großbuchstaben in lateinischer Schreibweise in dem wohl aus dem letzten Viertel des 16. Jahrhunderts stammenden Vollwappen sind als „UU“ zu lesen und bedeuten „URBS UCRA“ = Stadt an der Uecker. Das Wappen wurde 1994 neu festgelegt und unter der Nr. 41 der Wappenrolle des Landes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern registriert.
