Object history

Das Wappen nimmt Bezug auf Ausgrabungen römischer Siedlungsreste in den 80er Jahren in der Gemarkung "Hollerwald", nahe dem neuen Pfälzer Höhenweg.

Einige Sarkophage sind in der Ortsmitte zu besichtigen. Der Rest ging an das Landesmuseum nach Mainz oder Speyer.
