Deutsch: Der Wellenbalken verdeutlicht die Lage an der großen Nister. Der Adler (Reichsadler) weist auf die Forstwiese hin, einen ehemaligen Reichsforst, der ehemals zu den großen Waldungen des Stiftes Gemünden gehörte. Das Mühlrad steht für die Mühlentradition des Ortes und die Farben Gold und Blau weisen auf die Zugehörigkeit zum Haus Nassau hin.
