Object history
Deutsch: Die Zeltdachkirche soll auf die im Jahre 1930 nach den Entwürfen des bekannten Kölner Diözesanbaumeisters Professor Dominikus Böhm erbaute katholische Kirche in Birken hinweisen, die mit ihrem kupfernen Zeltdach in der damaligen Zeit einmalig war. Die Ährengarben symbolisieren die Landwirtschaft, die in der Gemeinde von Bedeutung ist. Die Brammenzange erinnert daran, dass mehrere Generationen der Bevölkerung der Gemeinde seit 1912 im Walzwerk Wissen Arbeit und Brot fanden.
