Description
English: Cockle Hall Picnic Area Cockle Hall was the grand name for a tiny cottage on this site, which housed a family of 13 in the late 19th century. It was also home to the ferryman, who plied to Wardleys opposite. The inhabitants would harvest cockles and mussels from the estuary.
