Deutsch: Der schräg in den Wappenschild gestellte "Steg" versteht sich in volksetymologischer Auslegung als Hinweis auf den Gemeindenamen. Die drei Hufeisen sind dem Wappen der Seisterer entnommen, die von 1826 bis 1930 Besitzer des Steegerhofes waren.
