Description
English: FIG. 17. CATATONIA FOLLOWING AX ATTACK OF MELANCHOLIA. The patient is mute,
requiring to be fed with a spoon, and will remain for hours in any forced position in 
which she is placed. The face is entirely devoid of expression. The left hand is 
seen to be permanently contractured. The photograph was taken after the arm? had 
remained elevated for twenty minutes.
