The canyon grape (Vitis arizonica), Utah’s only native grape, is sometimes mistaken for the invasive kudzu vine seen throughout the Southeastern United States. This grape can be seen climbing among the oaks, ashes, and Fremont cottonwoods along the Riverside Walk. In fall, this grape compliments the canyon’s fall foliage with shades of red and orange.
