Summary

Description
English: This images shows the Canones Fault, which separates the Rio Grande rift to the left from the Colorado Plateau to the right. The fault is marked by red fault gouge between Jurassic sandstone and gypsum beds of the Entrada and Todilto Formations to the left and older Permian red beds beds of the Arroyo del Agua Formation to the right. Displacement here is 355 meters, of which 206 meters is downthrow and 116 is left lateral.
